Caroline Dean, Department of Cell & Developmental Biology, John Innes Centre, Norwich UK.

Caroline Dean’s research group focuses on how temperature influences developmental timing in Arabidopsis. This has led to dissection of a Polycomb-mediated epigenetic silencing pathway (vernalization) and RNA processing-mediated chromatin regulation of a key repressor of flowering. They are also defining the molecular variation that has enabled Arabidopsis accessions to adapt to a wide range of climates.
