	Cayetano Gonzalez After completing a Ph.D. on fly genetics in the laboratory of Pedro Ripoll at the CBM (Madrid, 1983-1986), Cayetano Gonzalez moved to David Glover’s lab in the UK, first at Imperial College (1987-1990) and later as a CRC Joint Principal Investigator at Dundee University (1990-1993). In 1994, he took his first independent position, as a Group Leader at EMBL (Heidelberg). His lab moved to CNIO (Madrid) in 2003 and 1 year later he moved to the IRB-Barcelona as a Research Professor funded by the Catalan Institute for Research and Advanced Studies, leading the Cell Division Group.
