Juergen Knoblich

Juergen Knoblich is a Senior Scientist and Deputy Director at IMBA in Vienna. His lab uses Drosophila and mouse genetics to understand the molecular mechanisms of asymmetric cell division. In particular, they ask how stem cells can create both self-renewing and differentiating daughter cells and how defects in this tight regulation can lead to tumor formation.
