Hitoshi Niwa

Hitoshi Niwa, team leader of Laboratory for Pluripotent Cell Studies, RIKEN CDB, obtained his Ph.D. degree from Kumamoto University in 1993. Following postdoctoral research at the University of Edinburgh, he joined Osaka University as a research associate and then moved to RIKEN in 2001. He has been focusing on the analysis of the molecular mechanism governing pluripotency.
